BEAL has not waited for regulation to give its ropes and harnesses a system of guaranteed traceability for life, and an infallible information key to its products. The first generation of ropes and harnesses integrating this service has been born.
In effect, each product posesses a unique individual number from its manufacture which allows Identification at any time.
It’s partly its DNA code, we have thus baptised this identification system for Identification Number..
Here is the ultimate rope, the latest creation of the BEAL LAB, born with the help of the BEAL Team climbers.
It’s the only rope in the world which conforms to all 3 dynamic rope norms.
The JOKER is in effect at the same time a single rope, a half rope and a twin rope.
This rope will be loved by the most extreme climbers, seeking lightness and easy running, as much as by more traditional climbers seeking a multi-purpose rope for ridge routesor classic face routes, mixed ice and snow, or snow alone.

ATTENTION : Used as a ‘single’ this rope may not be grippable by all hands, and in all devices: in effect its fineness makes it a rope which demands expert holding and controlling. ‘Classic’ devices, designed for higher diameter ropes, will give reduced braking, and some self-locking auto-brakes may simply not work.
USES: Very high level climbers. Climber / Mountaineer.
Used as a single stand this very thin rope demands belaying technique adapted to its characteristics and precautions against wear because of its lower abrasion resistance.

Like the Joker, this rope requires modified belaying technique. It also has lower abrasion resistance than ropes of greater diameter.
Compact, easy-running and ultra-light, this, the pioneer of
thin ropes slides in everywhere. It offers excellent strength
for very experienced climbers.
STRONGS POINTS :
• A good compromise between weight, free-running, grip and strength.
• Low impact force.
• Increased number of falls held.
USES : Very experienced climbers.

This rope, despite not being the thinnest in the range, is still not for the beginner. Take account of the need for careful choice of belaying technique.
High-level results and a record number of falls for its diameter, here is one of the most impressive ropes on the market. The figures speak for themselves: 11 falls, 68 g/m, 7,4 kN impact force.
STRONGS POINTS :
• The perfect rope to climb with in total serenity.
• Low impact force + very high number of falls.
USES : Classic climbing.

Reassuring diameter, advised for beginners, for heavy climbers (Better grip to hold on its greater diameter), and for those looking for a rope with astonishing perfomance.
Toughest of the tough, this traditional, virtually
indestructible rope is capable of surviving the demands
of outdoor centres and big walls.
STRONGS POINTS :
• Great reserves of security in intensive use.
• Exceptional edge-resistance.
• A sheath capable of withstanding the constraints of Big Wall climbing.
USES : Traditional and Big Wall climbing.

The Big Wall rope, nearly indestructible, as capable of resisting the assaults of the worst granite as numerous and repeated climbs on toothed ascenders.
Designed specifically for the climbing wall environment - the thicker sheath associated with the Uni Core process makes for a tougher rope perfectly adapted to resist wear due to repeated belays and low impact falls. The astonishing Uni Core process permanently binds the sheath to the core of the rope radically decreasing the occurrence of slippage.
Colours
STRONGS POINTS :
• Uni Core process virtually eliminating sheath slippage.
• Thick and soft to the touch sheath.
• Ease of manipulation over time.
USES : Indoor.

the

- Maybe one colour per wall
length (for
example: Wall
Master violet
= 35m / Wall
Master fuschia = 20m)
- or one colour per year to aid renewal management.
This new rope was specifically developed for indoor use in climbing gyms. The small diameter allows children to gain better handling and confidence knowing that this rope is perfectly adapted to them. Thick sheath allows greater resistance to abrasion. The Uni Core process binds the sheath to the core of the rope preventing slippage.

BEAL presents the very lightest double rope.
Its extremely low impact force is excellent news
for less-than-perfect belay points in ice and on mixed
routes. A trump card that no alpinist can ignore.
STRONGS POINTS :
• The lightness and free-running of twin rope but with the advantages of a double rope.
• Really low impact force.
USES : Ice climbers and expert climbers.

The thinness of the rope gives it exceptionally easy running, but also demands appropriate and specific belaying technique. It’s in Golden Dry that this exceptional rope really comes into its own. Used as 2 strands of 60m, it allows for long runouts, but also to retain sufficient length even if you have to cut the ends of rope damaged by crampons or axe.
The great classic for adventure climbing.
Light and free running
for ease in use on long routes, crags, and on ice.
Technical and
strong to support the most difficult demands.
STRONGS POINTS :
• Excellent balance between weight and durability.
• Low impact force and high number of falls sustained
USES : All sorts of mountaineering and adventure country use.

This is the multi-use rope par excellence, if you don’t want to own more than one double rope, it’s the Cobra you must have. It has a low impact force (5,1kN) to minimise anchor-point loading, and a sheath of sufficient thickness to withstand the most aggressive rock, all for only 48g and a record number of falls = 16.
Pro Mountain 8,8 is certainly the toughest double rope on the market. In effect, its extra-thick sheath construction gives it exceptional abrasion resistance. Its excellent durability and relative lightness make it an advantage for professional and collective use (guides, rescue teams, clubs…) In addition each strand is marked in the middle (Black limit) to help with short abseils.
STRONGS POINTS :
• Abrasion resistant.
• Black limit as standard.
• Good handling.
USES : Professional use.

Finally a twin rope (Essential to clip both strands
together) for ice routes! Ice Twin, with its impact force
of 7.4 kN allows its use in adventure climbing, notably
on ice. In effect, the impact force of both strands twinned
through the karabiner does not exceed the impact force
of the best single ropes.
STRONGS POINTS :
• Low impact force.
• Raised number of falls.
• All Golden Dry.
USES :Expert climbers on big ice or rock routes.
